Billing Specialist

Julie brings over fifteen years of medical insurance billing experience, including benefit verification, claim submission and follow-up, collections, and patient communication. With strong attention to detail, she enjoys getting to the root of claim issues to ensure they are resolved correctly.

She is motivated by streamlining the insurance process at Synapse and reducing stress for families. Julie is also personally connected to the field—her three now-adult children all received speech services when they were young, and one daughter is now an SLP working in a school transitions program.

A proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Julie enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, Paige and Jared, cooking new recipes, and perfecting her pickleball game.
