Physical therapy services for children in Illinois

At Our Clinic — In Your Home — At School — Online

  • A physical therapist can support your child's development of gross motor and mobility skills, as well as balance, coordination and a stable posture. We use play-based therapy strategies that are evidence-based, engaging and fun for your child.

  • Preschool-aged children are developing many gross motor and mobility skills, such as walking, jumping, and running. A physical therapist can support both the development of these skills and more, as well as the strength and endurance required for full participation in multiple environments. Since your child may be developing in independence and autonomy, we pair a child-led approach with evidence based therapy strategies to support them in achieving their goals.

  • As children age, the level of gross motor skill and postural control demands required for participation in multiple activities and environments increase. We support children and teenagers in developing the strength and endurance to support a stable posture, advanced gross motor skills, balance and coordination, allowing them to better engage with their peers and the community. We highlight your child's strengths and incorporate their interests into evidence-based therapy plans.

My family has used Synapse for several years for multiple types of therapies. The staff is excellent and my child has made tremendous progress! Billing and other logistics are easy with their office staff. Our therapist has endless patience and compassion for my little guy. Thank you, Synapse!
