Karolina Sroka Speech Language Pathologist

Karolina Sroka, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

Karolina is passionate about helping children find joy in communication and making therapy a place they look forward to. She believes that building strong relationships is at the heart of growth, which is why she takes time to understand each child and incorporate their unique interests into sessions. One of her favorite reminders for families is to “model without expectations,” encouraging them to celebrate small steps along the way. She also holds onto a quote she first heard in graduate school: “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” -Lao Tzu

Her clinical interests include language development, articulation and phonological disorders, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). She has had the privilege of working with children in a variety of settings, including Rush University’s on-campus clinic, an Early Intervention clinic serving west-side Chicago, and an international elementary school in Warsaw, Poland. Since graduating, she has continued to gain experience in both school and clinic environments, which has deepened her appreciation for supporting children from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs.

Outside of work, Karolina enjoys traveling with friends and family, exploring new cultures, and seeking out local coffee shops. She loves to visit Poland during the summer, which is where her family is from!
