Nicole Metzendorf, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Nicole finds something incredibly special about helping a child find their “voice” and giving them the tools and confidence to connect with the world around them. She is skilled at building genuine connections with children and families. She meets each child where they are, taking the time to understand what motivates them and what works best for their individual personality and needs.
Nicole has worked exclusively in private practice, and has experience supporting children with a wide range of communication needs. Her clinical interests include articulation and phonology, receptive and expressive language, apraxia, autism, social pragmatics, executive functioning, and early intervention. Nicole is also trained in Gestalt Language Processing.
Nicole believes that parents are their child’s best therapy tool and loves helping families find simple ways to work communication goals into everyday routines, play, and conversations. She encourages families to celebrate the little wins along the way, remembering that practice makes progress, not perfection!
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and son, walking and hiking, exploring new restaurants, cooking, and reading.
